The Nutshell w/e 10th May

Dear Parents,

What wonderful warm weather we’ve been enjoying this week!  Both sites have looked amazing drenched in sunlight, and we hope it continues!

Some important HPA dates for the diary are the Wine Tasting Fundraiser next Friday – everyone is welcome so please come along and learn about (and taste) some great wines. This event is  kindly being run by a Hazelwood father. Also, the very popular summer fair will be taking place on Saturday 8th June!

I am delighted to let you know that our brand new website will be launching next Tuesday 14th May. Do take a look, you may spot some familiar faces! It is a different look and feel to the previous website and we feel it better reflects the dynamic and innovative approach we take to learning. As a school, it is critical that we continue to promote and advertise our phenomenal prep school and nursery provision for children.

Just a reminder that on Monday we are recognising Mental Health Awareness Week with a special initiative – Mufti for Mindfulness. Children can come to school wearing their own clothes and in return we’d be grateful for your support for our new charity partner, The Lucy Rayner Foundation. Staff will be in the car park on Monday morning with red buckets to collect cash donations, otherwise, please use the QR code on page 3 of the newsletter to donate – thank you in advance! We will be taking the opportunity in Monday’s assembly time to talk to children about mindfulness and also to introduce our new charity partner to children on a level that connects with them and is age appropriate.

I enjoyed spending time with more parents over the last two weeks, walking them around the site explaining the new changes that will be taking place from September. May I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their positivity and encouragement. It is wonderful that so many of you share in my excitement about the upcoming site changes and improvements.
