Parent end of term letter
Dear Parents,
As we reach the close of the Autumn Term, I would like to thank all our pupils for the heartwarming and poignant way in which they have embraced our festive celebrations. The Early Years site enjoyed delightful nativities, festive food and the joys of their Christmas gift shop. At the Prep School, we were treated to a wonderful nativity by Chestnut pupils, a joyous Christmas concert, and the Carol Service – a perfect ending to our festive celebrations. A special thank you to you, the parents, for your unwavering support during these memorable events.
In the classrooms, our pupils have consistently impressed with their engagement and focus during lessons. Their positive attitude towards their learning, sense of fun and endless questions, coupled with rigorous teaching, is so rewarding to see. The independence demonstrated in their work is impressive across all age groups, across both sites.
Beyond academics, the parent community, with support from Form Reps, has tirelessly contributed to the school's various events. The Christmas Fair, a culmination of the HPA and Form Reps’ efforts, was filled with festive fun and spirit. A huge thank you to the HPA for working so hard to give our children many memorable experiences. The Christmas Fair and Gift Shops were a huge success and created a sense of wonder and awe across both sites.
This term was about much more than just festive celebrations. Our pupils excelled across all areas of the school, showing their determination to make the most of every opportunity: from academic achievements and progress, to new friendships formed, to joy on the games fields, to becoming confident public speakers, our pupils have done us all proud. Our focus on the ‘Power of Me’ has resonated through all elements of school life, and the children have embraced celebrating strengths as superpowers. As ever, working with Prep School-aged children, they kept us focused on what is important and reminded us why we should work with purpose and empathy as we navigate the complex world around us. Thank you also to you, as parents, for your support during the last few months.
Wellness Day on the 14th December was a wonderful culmination of the term, allowing our staff and pupils time to focus on their well-being. The activities and workshops provided a chance for them to relax, recharge, and connect. A huge thank you goes to those parents who gave up their time to offer an activity. With a renewed sense of wellbeing, we are ready to embark on the new year!
With colder temperatures outside, Christmas trees and fires lit, I wish you all a peaceful, happy, and warm Christmas.
Best wishes,
Lindie
